NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING (NCB)

1. Berhan Bank S.C. intends to outlay its own funds to payments under the contract for which this Invitation for Bids is issued.
2. Berhan Bank S.C. invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified Contractors for the execution of the Construction Works for the Transitional Head Office Building Project (3B + SB + G + 16) located in Lideta Sub-City, Addis Ababa.
3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures and is open to all eligible and qualified bidders holding a valid GC-1 or BC-1 Contractor Category license through an Open Competitive Bidding
4. The successful Bidder shall enter into two separate Contracts with the Bank in accordance with the provisions of the Bidding Documents, namely:

• Contract No. 1 – Phase II: Structural Works
• Contract No. 2 – Phase III: Finishing, MEP, Façade and Associated Works

5. Bidders shall submit one Bid covering both Contracts.
6. Interested eligible bidders may obtain the Bidding Documents from Berhan Bank S.C. at the address under Item 14(a) during working hours by completing a registration form and presenting the following valid documents:

• Contractor Registration Certificate and/or Business License;
• Deposit Slip evidencing payment of the non-refundable registration fee.

7. A Deposit Slip of Payment of a non-refundable registration fee of ETB 5,000.00 (Birr Five Thousand) from Berhan Bank S.C, Air Port Branch shall be presented at the registration desk. The deposit slip shall bear the name of the Bidder and a NARRATIVE reading “Registration fee for THO Construction”.
8. A complete set of bidding documents will be made available electronically via CD and/or email to all registered bidders Starting from Tuesday, September 22/2026, at 14:00 hours, (2:00 PM),
9. Bid Security shall be valid for a period of 120 days after the bid opening date and must be accompanied by a Bid Security of ETB 15,000,000.00 (Birr Fifteen Million) in the form of an unconditional Bank Guarantee or Certified Payment Order (CPO).
10. A mandatory site visit shall be conducted by all bidders who purchase the Bidding Documents.
11. Bids shall be delivered to the address under Item 14(b) on or before 14:00 hours, (2:00 PM), 20 October 2026. Late bids shall entail automatic rejection.
12. Bids shall be opened publicly in the presence of bidders or their representatives who chose to attend at the address under Item 14 (c) at 14:30 hours, (2:30 PM), 20 October 2026.
13. Berhan Bank S.C reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to reject all bids.
